question about the connection diagram.
I want to connect 4 single coil subwoofers to my monoblock amplifier into 4 ohms, so I found this SAIs http://www.rockfordfosgate.com/rftech/woofer_wizard.asp?submitted=true&woofer_qty=4&woofer_imp=1 and wire in a chemical to the other field, but other subs that would give a sub two powers and there is no reason to it? I'm seeing this wrong please explain. and do not tell me to go to a professional and dispose of it. How can I learn from that? The only bad learn is how expensive it is to do so.
The diagram is correct. It's showing a complete circuit with subs pairs in series and parallel to the amplifier. The current circuit is called with series-parallel to the stress and the causes of split in the middle of the circuit and the current divides in each half circuit, resulting in all subs get approximately the same power (watts). There is really no "power" or "ground" in a speaker or subwoofer, only a positive and negative, corresponding to the initial and final lap in turn on the voice coil. The positives and negatives serve to keep individual speakers in phase, which is to keep the cones moving in the same direction simultaneously. If they move in opposite directions, one in the cone moves, while the other moves out, resulting sound waves tend to cancel each other, and gain a significant loss of volume, particularly evident in the lower frequencies. Its Wire alternates exactly like the diagram. If your off monoblock amplifier 1,000 watts RMS, each sub will get 1 / 4 of that, or about 250 watts and will operate in phase with the other 3. And your amp will see a 4ohm impedance.
