What size engine should go to drag … 30 pounds to 55 pounds of thrust? 1980 Coleman crawdad about 11.12 feet

I'm looking to redo this boat, as it only used in small lakes and ponds that should do well. that the gas engine that I used before no longer works. I'm looking for something that going to allow this boat easily cruise around with some decent battery life. I'm seeing engines are minn Kota Endura 30/36/55. thanks for the answers … I think I will get to 55 and we'll do some fishing in the river as well. Once I start maxx-29, 125Ah battery. we hope they will do the trick!

I'd recommend a 36 or higher. Note the maximum speed setting the battery life of the battery of a deep-cycle average is only is 2 hours. You can get a little more time outside the top-of-the-line deep cycle batteries (such as Optima Batteries Plus). I suggest you get two batteries (make sure that are deeply cycle batteries, regular car batteries drain much, much faster) and connected in parallel. This will double the time might happen in the water.
