heads and low voltage cabins?
so I want to buy a low battery and I'm looking around and just want to make sure I have this right, say I'm going to play a show and I have a 800 watt head that pulls 400watts if you connect 2 cabins 400watt that I will get the 800 who want it? I'm just ensure that the head has sent how many watts each cabin i connect, so say I had a head of 300 watts and ran to the same 2 cabins 400watt ID get 600watts? I also might end up turning off my car, if I found myself saying a 400 watt head into the cockpit of 250? u can blow a head im thinking no? thanks I know its a lot, but I think they have most of it thanks
His head is 400 watts. period, connecting two 400 watt cabs will not magically you give 800 watts if you gave more than 1 cup of water and told him to fill two cups. Speakers when the impedance is equal to share power output for 2 cabinets handle 200 watts a piece for the total of 400 watts. For 800w you need to buy a 800W amplifier. If your use of the impedance of the speakers at least suggested by the manufacturer, then should the proper output. If you had a 300 watt head to the same cabin each cabin would get 150 watts and the rest would be higher. Depending on whether you 're talking about a tube amp or solid state head can fly. For a tube amp always coincide with the speaker impedance to the amplifier output. For a solid state, never go below the minimum number of speaker impedance for the amplifier. underestimate the best amplifier for the cabinets to overvalue to protect the speakers.
