What is the best running rate of AVG for Mahi Mahi in MPH?

Aloha, owner of a new boat thats still to get a mahi. Ive trolling about 5 miles per hour in a skirt and a hard type of attraction rapallo prowler call. The predator know from previous works in the catch sailboat used to work. But I never realized the speed we were going. Any suggestions? BTW I live in Hawaii.

The predator is assumed to be controlled between 5 and 12 kilometers per hour. Skirts a little faster than 5. If you have both bait try 8 or 9, also try to switch the speed from time to time. Another trick is put the boat into neutral and let the bait sink. I can not remember how many times I have connected while letting the bait "rest" for a minute or so.Also try fishing around floating debris "Weed ie, lines, floating drums, large pieces of plywood, etc. Anything that can cover the Mahi Dam.
