I want template coho salmon in salt water?

What kind of line, bait and rod should I use and how deep …………. please help

Hi Chris, I put a few meters coho salmon this week, while fishing around BC Kelsey Bay. The pink salmon keeps us occupied surface drift but occasionally we hitch a coho. Fishing in deeper hooked sockeye and Chinook. Lot of people or staff to mooch for salmon, I prefer my down rigger or weight of line and troll em. Pink and silver are usually caught from the top down to about 30 feet. I step down riggers up to 90 150 feet to pass through Chinook or sockeye. Hoochies Pink are hot for fishing for pink and coho salmon here. (Check your area for see what color is becoming the worst affected). For the coho I remove all the tentacles of the hoochie except for about 3-4 of them left to dangle. It does not bite the bait otherwise. I use green army trucks Hoochies fishing in deeper to Chinook or sockeye. I use 25-30 lbs test line, a medium action rod 7.8 feet. When coho or pink drag to use the down-rigger or line weight, intermittent and hoochie (bait). Leave about 12-15 feet between the weight down rigger or weight of line and intermittent. Tie the hoochie against one of the intermittent 27in. When you go to Chinook or sockeye salmon in deeper water that is about 20-25 feet between Downrigger weight and intermittent on the hoochie behind intermittent 36in. This gives the further deployment intermittent. Roses are a loose salmon compared to Chinook or red salmon. To separate only, you can use Buzz-bomb, or a hoochie with a line thickness deputy if beaten with a line thickness to leave about 8-10 feet of space between the weight and bait. I've seen Bucktails drift at the top with the salmon catch also ongoing. Know your rules in your area for salmon, here we are allowed to keep wild and hatchery coho daily limit from now.
