Home remedy to remove debris cheap fiberglass tape?
Idiot, the first time homeowner here. Spontaneously I removed all the nasty caulk my bathtub and shower surround without a plan on what / how to replace it. He had tubes of caulk, but not "weapon" to disperse at the time, so I just put strapping tape and tape around the edges. Works great for about a year! So I'm in the mood to re-caulk all right now, but when I took the tape, no big ugly residue. I tried mineral spirits, acetone, pure, and the WD 40 already. Someone knows something easy and cheap? I would try peanut butter, but I had to throw it all – the series was tainted 21,111! Yes, peanut butter, the oils will loosen a lot of things stuck, but thanks for the tips much! I wanted some home remedies I can try now, but if I go to the store today, I will take a look at the Goo Gone or Goof Off stuff – it's probably good to have on hand.
Get a thick cloth soaked with acetone or nail polish remover or paint thinner (paint remover not), fold around the end of a spatula / scraper and scrape it off. You may have to do more than once, but it will work. Good luck
